For the first time, the International Freesports Film Festival (IF3) arrives in Switzerland LAAX, SWITZERLAND - On December 10th, award-winning and Swiss world-class winter sports films will be showcased and premiered at one of Switzerland’s largest resorts.

 

As the event’s premiere sponsor, the Laax ski resort will be hosting this edition of the IF3 at their Hangar event hall, located 2252m up at the Crap Sogn Gion ski station. As the first edition in Switzerland, entry to the event will be free. Visitors only need to purchase a regular ski lift ticket or a round-trip gondola ride from Laax to get up to the location.

 

Doors open at 11am, with films being screened and premiered until 18:30.

 

The event is MC’ed by Martin Misof, and the program schedule includes multiple product giveaways, Q&A sessions, and tracks played by DJ Piz Nadjini long after the ski lifts have closed.

 

The International Freesports Film Festival, also known as IF3, is the longest-running film festivals dedicated to winter sports, having started in Montreal in 2007 and since being hosted in 14 countries on 4 continents. The purpose of the festival is to showcase and award the best in winter sports filmmaking along with providing opportunities for local filmmakers and winter athletes to share their film projects with an audience of their peers.
