Finlay Woods: The Sound of Japan

English

Donate to help iF3

An audio-visual exploration of place, memory and creativity. Captured in the mountains and cities of Japan, this film blends immersive visuals with a wholly original soundtrack, composed entirely of sounds recorded on location by musician Jackson Fester. From train station announcements, temple bells, and the rhythm of snowboard carving, every element in the soundtrack was found not fabricated, and is a unique reflection of the cultural soundscape of this country. The film invites viewers to experience Japan in a way that is felt as much as it is heard lead by a crew of elite international riders.
