Eco-Freeski: The last hideout of the huemul” is a documentary about a group of skiers exploring the state of conservation of the huemul deer within the Nevados de Chillán area in the Ñuble Region, Chile. A group of skiers dive into the habitat of the deer, in the snowy mountains and pristine forests, to bring attention to the current situation of this species, in critical danger of extinction. In addition, it proposes a reflection on the role of those who are in constant contact with nature through sport or other activities, inviting us to become aware of the privilege that this closeness means and to become part of the solutions that are urgently required to protect the symbol of Chile's national emblem.
