In a world where social networks and media dictate the rules, where only champions shine at the top, where only the most beautiful lines in perfectly perfect snow are exploited and where sometimes the stories stray from the truth, SHADOW tries to break the codes.
This is the story of 5 women in the shadows. 5 women passionate about skiing and snowboarding, the mountains, beautiful slopes. 5 women with atypical personalities, from different generations, telling their story in the same massif that tells them: The Aravis massif, French Alps.
During a winter season, these women in the shadows roam the mountains which have welcomed or seen them grow, and which have always made them vibrate. The ski lifts being closed, it is with the strength of their body and their mind that they will climb the most beautiful mythical peaks of the Aravis to draw a few curves in their favorite mountains.
Sharing, passion, commitment, emotion, strength and femininity are the key words of SHADOW, where the desire to re-establish authenticity in the mountains is law. Stories, laughter, tears, successes, renunciations, relentlessness, all these imperfections and forces that re-appropriate the mountain, unpredictable, imperfect, surprising, as it really is, in the shade spotlights.
A few strands of emotions that resonate through these thousands of women and men in the shadows, with which the mountain abounds.
