Inaccessible, clinging to mountain tops far from the hustle and bustle of human activity, they were thought to be eternal. However, glaciers are the first victims of a galloping climate change.
During their gap year, three student friends decide to cross the Alps from France to Austria by walking the slopes of these declining giants to support glaciologists in their work and meet local actors concerned by the retreat of glaciers.
An adventure without a car, from the Écrins massif to the Austrian Tyrol, to better understand the cascade of consequences caused by glacial retreat and to imagine the paths to take to build a desirable future.
