With COVID restricting travel, Craig Murray spent the summer of 2021 at home in New Zealand when he would normally have been competing on the Freeride World Tour. He decided that he had some time, so he and his mates made it a priority to build a land yacht that was the subject of so many youthful fantasies.
The ultimate dream, the mission that Craig had in mind, was to take the bus and travel with friends through the eclectic group of club fields where he and his family, including brother-from-another-mother Julian ‘Jamesa’ Hampton, grew up skiing. Nico and Miguel Porteous, friends from Wanaka and Olympic half pipe skiers, hadn’t yet experienced the clubbies. They were in for a treat.
The film follows them on their journey, discovering the pockets of colour tucked away in these mountain clubs and locals, whilst skiing some of the biggest lines seen in Aotearoa New Zealand.
