This video features Polaris athlete Amy Jane David filmed during the production of the Magic Hour film by Teton Gravity Research. Amy is a professional big mountain backcountry skier and snowmobiler. Amy’s passion is exploring the backcountry and continually pushing her limits on a snowmobile in pursuit of deep powder and new terrain. Often, she uses the snowmobiles to seek out big mountain ski terrain. The machines can access remote terrain, cover large swaths of land quickly, and provide opportunities to ski and ride in untracked snow. In addition to being an athlete on camera for film and photo work, she teaches motorized and non-motorized avalanche education courses through the America Institute for Avalanche Research and Education (AIARE), is a mentor for the AIARE Women’s Mentorship Program, hosts women’s backcountry education retreats, and has served as a member of the Polaris Empowersports Women’s Riding Council for three years.
