It's the aroma of crispy sourdough wafting through the house, the crackling of cherry wood fire in the pizza oven, the mid air moment of the perfect backcountry pillowline. It’s Chef’s Table meets backcountry skiing. BREAD & BUTTER is intended to rewild palates and spark joy in the hearts of our viewers through one baker’s expression of his craft. Blaine Gallivan treads a unique path as a professional skier, culinary artist, and advocate for sustainable food systems. Finding himself at an injury induced crossroads, the Teton local rekindled a passion for sourdough bread, discovering a new medium of flow. Hands immersed in dough he realizes the similar medicinal qualities between skiing and baking.
