Farming Turns is the story of Chris Rubens, a Canadian professional freerider whose lifestyle transformation serves as an inspiration for all, reflecting the critical issues of our time. After spending years skiing the world's best lines, Chris gradually becomes aware of his environmental impact and adopts a more sustainable lifestyle, nearly the opposite of his previous one, without giving up everything that had driven him so far.
He decides to buy land and start an organic farm with his wife. His life in Revelstoke, British Columbia, is no longer defined by travel but by the seasons: in winter, skiing remains a central focus, with heli-skiing replaced by ski touring. In summer, it's time to cultivate his farm and reap its rewards. Looking closer, Chris even discovers parallels between his lifelong passion and his current profession, both governed by the changes in nature and climate.
Without being preachy, Farming Turns shows us how significant changes can be undertaken without sacrificing happiness, by choosing a lifestyle that prioritizes personal fulfillment over the pursuit of more.
