Surface Tension follows Hank Stowers and friends on a visual journey through the San Juan mountains and the Utah desert as they discuss how the rivers of the region have shaped their home, and their self. Freeride ski lines are interwoven with passage through narrow sandstone canyons, the flow of raging rivers, and mementos to the beauty of the land that Hank calls home.
