The Unnamed Peak: A story about a foot-powered trip into the mountains of Swedish Lapland. Not far from Sweden's highest point, Kebnekaise 2096m, lies the isolated mountain hut Nallú. A part of the Swedish STF hut system, this small wooden house serves as a stop along the way for outdoors explorers, randonné skiers, and anyone who might find themselves in need of a place to rest, cook food, or hide from the notorious winter weather. Here, one is far removed from civilised society, and the day revolves around gathering firewood and carrying water, while waiting for a brief weather window in order to ski some of Sweden's biggest mountains, where many faces have yet to see a skier's tracks. Skiers Jacob Wester and Evelina Nilsson pack their pulks and set off into this remote valley with the goal of skiing an unnamed peak that Jacob first laid eyes on the year before while passing through the area. Here, the crew battle the unknowns of hard weather, tricky snowpacks, and their own minds in order to finalize their dream. A film about a different kind of ski trip, one where quality comes before quantity, set in a location that forces the modern human to slow down, adapt to her surroundings, and listen to her inner voice.
