MOMENTUM explores the beauty and tension of free-ride skiing and moving through the mountains. Respect and awe for the environment, combined with the anticipation of freedom that comes with riding a line form the main body of the film. The suspended moment just before you drop in, and the momentum that makes everything come into being, is at its core. We wanted to explore what happens in that space: the tension, clarity, memory, and instinct that collide just before movement becomes inevitable.
Shot in the Tatras, this project is less about performance and more about exploring presence, when the mountain holds you, and how your body answers back. We approached it like a visual poem, capturing fragments, textures, and motion that we hope can convey the connection between humans and landscape without needing to explain it.
