Homage is a conversation shaped by distance.
It unfolds between two women, Julia and Kathi, whose lives have been formed by skiing and by the mountains they return to year after year. This time, however, they do not share the same altitude. One body moves through snow and steep light; the other is grounded, recovering, learning patience in stillness.
Julia watches from home. After a ski accident in January, her movement has been interrupted; her body altered, reconstructed, temporarily removed from the place where her sense of self once felt most intact. Kathi continues to ski.
There are conversations that happen only in high places, where the air is thinner and thought is sharper. Homage listens for such a conversation across space: between movement and immobility, between the mountain and the room.
