The Antidote is a visual portrait of the past 15 years of Finn Bilous’s life, spent in an endless Winter. It explores the duality between his upbringing in the close-knit community of W?naka, New Zealand, and the fast-paced, globe-trotting lifestyle of a professional freestyle skier. Raised in W?naka, Finn grew up skiing every corner of the local mountains, laying the foundation for a career unlike any other. While most athletes dedicate themselves to a single discipline, Finn’s versatility has enabled him to move seamlessly across multiple facets of the sport, competing at skiing’s highest level in Slopestyle and Freeride, including the X Games, Winter Olympics, Natural Selection, and the Freeride World Tour.
In 2025, Finn recognised the constraints to the competitive structure of skiing and made the decision to step away from contests for a year. Finn partnered with Hunter Paull and Hunt Cinema to create a deeply personal film that reflects his unique journey & relationship to the sport. This film gives insight into how Finn has carved out a truly singular pathway in skiing, the diversity to his talent and prelude as to what’s next in Finn’s career.
