Bulgarian Breathing follows Swedish freeskier Emil Granbom on a journey that goes far beyond skiing. Together with two friends, he sets out to explore Bulgaria - not in search of the biggest lines, but of genuine connections. Traveling through remote mountain regions in an old van, they meet local skiers and are welcomed with remarkable warmth and hospitality. Between untouched terrain, shared meals, and spontaneous adventures, the film paints an authentic portrait of a country that is often overlooked as a ski destination. Bulgarian Breathing is a story about friendship, hospitality, and the unifying spirit of freeriding - and about how travel can transform the way we see people, culture, and place.
